I am an artist, researcher, and instructor at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I teach in the Visual Studies program in the Department of Art and Design. I grew up in many states in the United States, studied Painting and Spanish Translation at Brigham Young University, and went to the University of Illinois for my graduate studies in New Media studio art. I am also a Spanish-English translator and interpreter and am married and have one son.
